Good Evening Peeps
If only I had a way to describe Kisumu – Kenya’s third-largest city, pleasant and laid back, with an indefinable air where time seems to standstill. Conveniently tucked on the eastern shores of Lake Victoria, Kisumu may not be a highly publicized travel destination as Nairobi or Mombasa, but it easily matches the depth and diversity of their charms. This small city offers picturesque vistas, stunning sunsets and an immersive culture.and made me want to know what Kisumu has to offer.
Kisumu is beautiful and you will get plenty of breath-taking shots especially if you know where to look. Spectacular photos of the sunset in Kisumu may be enough to get you to pack your bags, especially if they are taken with views of the Lake, or with the rays peeking through the buildings in town.
Although Kisumu has modernized over the years, it still maintains that old town feel especially on the outskirts and the culture is still very ingrained. There are plenty of amazing and affordable places where you and your family can visit in Kisumu. If you are still wondering where to go for your next holiday.
I still can’t pinpoint exactly what it is about Kisumu that enthralls me so. Maybe it is the relaxed vibe, the cool calmness. Maybe it is the fact that it stirred up a latent creative ability by inspiring me to pick a camera and click away into my future. Kisumu has lodged itself firmly in my heart and is undeniably my favorite city in Kenya.
I was mesmerized with the cleanliness of the city and the friendly environment of the people. Kisumu city is coming up with some of the amazing malls, Restaurants, and places to visit either solo or with family its got a lot to offer then we can just think.
The best way to appreciate the beauty of this region is on the lake itself. The sun shines brightly, and gentle breezes rise from the water.
In trees along the shore, Fish Eagles call to each other with long haunting cries. Sunsets turn the water to gold, as the local fisherman in their canoes pull in their nets and slowly turn for home.
Set on the shores of the Majestic Lake Victoria in Kisumu, Kiboko Bay Resort is a jogging distance from the high street, the Impala Park and the Dunga Fishing Village.
Kiboko Bay Resort has been consistently rated as the best among Kisumu resorts, giving the discerning travelers the luxury of embracing the Safari feel of an African adventure in absolute comfort.
The resort is endowed with amazing charms and natural attractions. For some, the attraction of the lake is its sheer expanse. For others, it is the vibrant birdlife, and for many, gliding through the waters absorbing the beauty of the unspoiled wetlands and mangrove forests, and for every lover of beauty a thousand splendid sunsets on the shimmering sweet waters.
Dunga Hill Camp
Dunga Hill Camp Of all the hills in Kisumu you do not want to miss spending a couple of days on this one. Located on the shores of Lake Victoria, Dunga Hill Camp is a perfect venue for camping with friends and family. Sit on top of the hill by the lake and unwind as you watch the village life around the lake. The phenomenal vista is something you will want to capture into memories.
We stayed at one of the finest hotels THE IMPERIAL EXPRESS, The Imperial Express is conveniently located in the city center along Oginga Odinga Road one of the finest hotels, It offers bed and breakfast only, they have beautiful rooms, with everything the modern traveler will require. Comfortable beds, a great shower, and free high-speed Wi-Fi.
Lots of things will make a striking first impression, especially for first-time guests. At the lobby, it will be the beautiful artwork and lighted polished wood embellishments on the walls that will distract you to make check-in feel so fast and seamless. The lobby space, which takes on an urbane design, has this sense of stillness that is soothing and inviting, and which stays on with you even in the rooms. Just like the free high-speed Wi-fi which is accessible from everywhere.
On the hallways, after you leave the lift, the lighting which is designed to light upon sensing motion, will brighten up your walkway with every step. The idea is to conserve energy so that the lights are only on when needed, but there is something about that automation that will stay with you, and get you to return.
And if you are a vegetarian like me then you no need to worry at all, The Laughing Buddha Lounge & Cafe with a unique concept of a Vegetarian Café serving fresh Eggless Cakes and Pastries and a mouthwatering menu of foods from around the world it is located at one of the finest malls Tuffoam Mall, if you visit Kisumu do not forget to visit the place.
As I always say Pictures don’t make justice you need to go and see the beautiful town by your self. If I would have had to rank Kisumu town cleanliness I would give 9/10 beautiful is all I could say can’t wait to go back and explore the town again.
