Good Evening Peeps…….
Regency Mountkenya Hotel located t outside Timau town, about 3 hours 30 minutes from Nairobi. It is about 220 Km from Nairobi and is easy to get to with any kind of car. The road from Nairobi all the way to Timau is very smooth and scenic. The place is on Google Maps and is very easy to find. From Nanyuki, you come through Timau town and take the first road off to the left (same dirt road to Ngare Ndare forest). Drive down this for about 10 km.
Let me just say that of all the places I have visited in Kenya so far, Meru county takes the trophy for having the best scenery in the country The vegetation the landscaping the states of road OMG !!!!!!! Would make you feel you in Europe.
After almost 4 hours of being on the road, we finally got to Timau. The cold breeze and rains just makes the place looks so amazing.
as stunning views north of the Lolldaiga Hills and sublime views south of Mt Kenya. On clear days, the full Aberdare mountain range and the Laikipia plains are visible
It is said that the road to heaven is narrow, and if you have ever drive yourself on those roads of Nanyuki-Isiolo highway, then you will have the feeling of kind of heaven. Depending on how you look at it. If you are the kind of person who likes the serenity of the countryside, away. I do not know how far it goes but surely one day I would just want to continue going on the road trip ahead.
So we reached the hotel around 5 in the evening and we were welcomed with such a warm welcome by the whole team of Regency mount Kenya. The view was so breathtaking that I did not even wish to go to the room but just sit in the beautiful garden and stare at the lovely scenery and the peak of Mount Kenya.
The Hotel offers 20 fully furnished rooms and a conference facility that can accommodate up to 150 people. It also has a heated swimming pool and ample space for team building activities.
As i always say pictures don’t make justice till you see it physically. We were very overwhelmed with the hospitality given by the whole team of the hotel. One thing i can say is they don’t take you as guest or clients they take you like family.
I was very delighted to meet another Blogger who was their with his team Mr. George and it always feels nice to meet a blogger and exchange ideas.
If you are planning to visit the hotel you could always take my blog site name “the Mehul blogs” to get a discount. Enjoy the pictures if you are planning to visit the hotel please do carry warm clothes as temperatures to drop down to 10 -12 deg in the evenings.
