Good Evening Peeps……..
Happy valentine day to all celebrating, Everybody has their own way of celebrating valentine’s day. We all know valentine day is a symbol of showing love it does not really matter who you are celebrating love with, It can be your wife, girlfriend friend or family members. What i feel about valentine is why show love on one single day??? Rather loving the person 365 days of the year.
Yes Yes i know so many people say it becomes boring or relation cannot be of love every single day, But i feel if we love our partner every single day in a different manner with full love and respect, Then everyday would be a love day for all.
But do we really know what valentine is ? Or how did valentine day come up ??? Well after researching for couple of weeks this is what i got :
It’s the day when people show their affection for another person or people by sending cards, flowers or chocolates with messages of love.
Who was St Valentine?
The day gets its name from a famous saint, but there are several stories of who he was.
The popular belief about St Valentine is that he was a priest from Rome in the third century AD.
PAThis is the oldest known Valentine’s Day message in English. It was written in 1477
Emperor Claudius II had banned marriage because he thought married men were bad soldiers. Valentine felt this was unfair, so he broke the rules and arranged marriages in secret.
When Claudius found out, Valentine was thrown in jail and sentenced to death.
There, he fell in love with the jailer’s daughter and when he was taken to be killed on 14 February he sent her a love letter signed “from your Valentine”.
Basically that is one of the reason why valentine is celebrated. But around the globe their different ways on how valentine is celebrated lets look at some of them.
South Korea and Japan – Pamper the men
It’s the men who are pampered in this part of the world on Valentine’s when women buy chocolates for their male partners, family members and coworkers as a token of affection and appreciation. But don’t worry ladies, the favor is returned a month later. On March 14, known as White Day, men reciprocate with cake, candy and flowers.
The UK – Go on dream dates
In the UK, couples get seriously romantic on Valentine’s Day. Lovebirds all over the Isles exchange gifts of flowers, chocolates and jewelry. In the evening, couples typically enjoy a nice dinner on the town or opt for a candle-lit spread at home. Either way, love is in the air.
Finland – Celebrate friends
For anyone flying solo, Finland is the place to be. You don’t have to worry about feeling left out of the festivities because in this country it’s all about celebrating with your friends. The day is even called ‘Friend’s Day’ in Finnish, not Valentine’s. The official flower is the pink rose, but mates are happy to receive gifts, cards or candy, too.
Peru – Opt for orchids
Thanks to countrywide Carnaval celebrations, most Peruvians are on holiday on February 14, which means they have extra time to plan their loved-up itinerary. Instead of exchanging roses, many opt for orchids – a flower native to the country. They even hold mass weddings to accommodate all the couples saying “I do” on the most romantic day of the year.
Well those were some of the the ways valentine is celebrated. Not going to write much today but just a important point about love
“Love doesn’t leave you but you leave love”
So from this Valentine’s day onwards, focus on creating the best relationship you can, not only with yourself, but also with your partner.
